Züri Fäscht stand concept
Modular booth concept for large-scale events with a focus on visitor flow and continuous operation.
A converted shipping container becomes a visible urban focal point between office buildings. Precise technical interventions, custom-made details, and a functional layout create a professional café with a clear brand identity.
The modular concept enables flexible use, events, and future relocation to new sites.
Instead of viewing the container as a simple coffee kiosk, the concept started with a clear goal: to create a place that is visually and spatially appealing enough for people to enter, even if they were not planning to buy a coffee.
The project was positioned at the center of a square between office buildings and conceived as a highly visible “urban magnet”: a compact, unexpected place that sparks curiosity, invites people to linger, and encourages everyday interactions.
The project was developed and realized from planning and detailed design through to full on-site implementation, using a real, previously used shipping container as the base structure.
The focus was on:
The result is a fully realized container conversion that functions as a professional café while remaining adaptable as a mobile concept.
The container café quickly became an all-day meeting point for office workers — a place where people can easily take a break, recharge, and connect.
Beyond daily operations, the concept also supports regular events: it invites specialty coffee experts to curated gatherings and creates moments that extend into the surrounding outdoor space. In this way, the project functions not only as a café, but also as a recurring social hub within the square.
A modular, high-impact container café that proves how a compact structure can become a true focal point.
It transforms an office plaza:
A project that demonstrates how thoughtful design can turn infrastructure into atmosphere — and create community through a simple everyday ritual.
A container café that extends far beyond its compact structure: as a social meeting point, a stage for curated coffee events, and a flexible, future-ready concept. It demonstrates how thoughtful architecture can transform even temporary infrastructure into a vibrant place with a strong identity.
